All my computers run Linux, either gentoo or a heavily modified stripped-down Slackware distribution. Because reboots are for hardware upgrades.

• gummadoon is a self-build Intel Core i7 920 system on a Asus board, overclocked to 3.60 GHz (no liquid cooling, since my old cooling setup was for a 755 socket. I've put a Black Knight fan on it, seems to work, but runs hot (i7's are known for that)). It has 12 Gb RAM and 3x1T RAID5 array of WD Black disks. I was a seagate user until 2009, but now that they dropped warranty to 3 years and WD black came up with 5, I'm using WD. It is running Linux gentoo ~amd64, always the latest.
• clochette is an Asus EeePC 1000 HE, bought right when it was announced in february 2009. I've upped memory to 2Gb RAM, and it is running gentoo ~x86.
• old gummadoon was my main computer in 2007-2009, it was a self-built Intel Pentium D 804 system (on an Abit nForce4 board), overclocked to 3.20 GHz, with liquid cooling, with 4Gb RAM and 1 Tb disk space. It is running Linux gentoo ~amd64. The picture above is this computer.
• library was my main workstation in 2004-2007, a Pentium 4 2.2GHz with 640 Mb memory and 320 Gb disk space. It ran Linux 2.6.11.5 (customized Slackware distribution). I even got a screenshot of it: screenshot.gif (the window manager is fwvm2)
• gw is the gateway, the only computer visible to the Internet. It is Pentium 2 350Mhz with 64Mb RAM and 2 Gb flash disk. It runs Linux 2.6.11.5 (customized Slackware). I bought this computer on eBay for $20 as soon as I moved to USA in 2002, all I had with me then were two hard drives and I needed anything to plug them in. Now this box does firewalling and NAT for me and runs my fidonet software. One time this system had a 640 days uptime, but then the UPS failed.
